Following
up our database coverage test of June last year,
this URL filter database accuracy test aims to
examine in detail just how each database vendor
actually handles the URLs they collect, how and
where they categorise them. Using Blue Coat’s
ProxySG security appliance we tested the accuracy of
five different URL filter databases that are
available on the appliance: Blue Coat’s own
WebFilter (BCWF), Websense Enterprise, Secure
Computing SmartFilter, SurfControl Web Filter, and
ALSI Intersafe. |
